Director Duilio Coletti gives us his interpretation of the life and times of one of Naples’ more interesting underworld figures; Giuseppe ‘Peppino’ Navarra, alias The King of Poggioreale. In a role originally intended for Rod Steiger, Ernest Borgnine made an early stop-off in Italy, just as ‘Hollywood on the Tiber’ was in its golden years, to play the celebrated Neapolitan gangster
